Northvale PTO 2020 Winter Enrichment Programs

Northvale PTO is proud to present Winter Enrichment Program for 2020.  This 6 week program will enable students to explore and learn beyond the hours of the school day.  Each class will be conducted in a friendly environment, under the guidance of experts for a reasonable fee.  The Northvale Enrichment Program will provide fun opportunities for our students to enjoy learning in every way!

The registration begins Tuesday, January 14th and ends on Tuesday, January 21st.   Please take the time to look through the programs below to find a class for your child.  Once you have decided on a program, click on the link at the bottom of each box, print the forms, fill out, and send the forms directly to the address on the forms or do via internet.

The enrichment program starts on Monday, February 3, 2020.  The meeting dates are as follows:

Mondays- 2/3, 2/10, 2/24, 3/2, 3/9, 3/16

Wednesdays-  2/5, 2/12, 2/26, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18

Make up week is Monday, March 23rd and Wednesday March 25th.  Make up week will only be used if any dates/classes need to be cancelled due to weather or school closures.

The fee for each class is noted in the class description and includes the cost of relevant supplies, unless noted.  Once registration is completed, no refunds will be made, no exceptions.

Admission and enrollment

Children must be in the indicated grade level to be admitted to a class.  Classes are limited and are filled on a “first come first serve” basis.  Any class is subjected to cancellation or combination due to insufficient enrollment.  You will receive a confirmation email for your registration only when the registration period has ended.  You will be notified of cancelled or combined classes.

Inclement weather and class cancellations

Classes are automatically cancelled if school is either suspended or closed that day.  Classes may also be cancelled, at the instructor’s discretion, due to inclement weather or a personal emergency.  These last minute cancellations will be announced during the school day and an attempt will be made to reach each parent at the phone number and/or email listed on the registration form.  It is the parent’s responsibility to check for messages regarding cancellation that may be left by phone or email.  Instructors will make every attempt to make up all cancelled classes.

Arrival and departures

All enrichment classes run from 3:15pm-4:15pm.  After dismissal, students participating in the enrichment program will go to the APR where they will be checked in for their enrichment class by the enrichment coordinator.  Instructors will pick up their entire class at the APR at 3:15pm and return them to the APR at 4:15pm.  All parents must arrive at 4:15 as students will be dismissed to parent/guardian at the APR of the school.  PARENTS MUST BE AT THE DOOR TO THE APR AT DISMISSAL TIME.  FOR SAFETY PUROSES, NO CHILD WILL BE PERMITTED TO WALK TO A WAITING VEHICLE.

A form is attached below for you to fill out if you have a 4th grader or older for them to sign themselves out of Enrichment and walk home themselves.
